“As cool as carrots”

This is a lovely photofilm about being thrown into single Motherhood, produced by Rebecca Harley.

I produced little bear as part of a series of short photofilms I am working on. My friend had recently given birth and I found her honesty and realism about how it feels to be a new mum refreshing, totally dispelling any ideas I might have had about bringing up a baby on your own.

I am naturally attracted to smaller, more personal stories, which work well as a short piece and allow an intimacy with the person I am working with. I thought little bear would be an interesting insight into her life and an inspiring story to tell.

Rebecca came on one of duckrabbit’s 3 day photofilm workshops at the end of last Summer, and was a pleasure to work with. She’s running The Hinterlands Photofilm Workshop with us next month in Devon (some spaces still available).
