What they say about duckrabbit:

'One of the hazards of publishing a well-known photojournalism blog - getting multimedia like yours, where the photos are both powerful and moving, and I end up in tears at my desk.'

Alan Taylor, Boston Big Picture)

'David White's multimedia work with duckrabbit is very exciting.'

Kate Edwards (Guardian Magazine Picture Editor)

'I am a fan of duckrabbit. I am not a fan because I agree with everything Ben has to say, but because he says it without frills and then will spend the time necessary to engage the consequent discussions. Such commitment is a priceless commodity.'

Prison Photography

'I met one of them at an academic conference in the summer. He was the sanest person there, but sure enough by damn gadnabbit ruffled more than a few fluffed up peacock feathers.'

The Photography Pages

'If you haven't seen the duckrabbit blog on multimedia you should.'

Stephen Alvarez

'duckrabbit has done another jaw-dropping job with Condition Critical, a highly commendable and important project for Medecins Sans Frontiers.'

Stan Banos – on duckrabbit

Natural writers are few and far between so when I started raving about the words on the blog Reciprocity Failure I was being entirely sincere.

Stan Banos’ blog is so much more intelligent then the pundits who take themselves far too seriously, don’t allow comments (that would be mixing with the riff raff), and whose efforts to say something come out as natural as constipation.

You don’t need to appreciate photography to appreciate Reciprocity Failure. If you love Raymond Carver then you’ll be on hallowed ground.

Anyway I asked Stan to send some photos and I’m pleased to say he has. Unfortunately I can’t reply to him because his email bounces and the last time I tried to put one of his photos up it crashed my website.¬† So this attempt to show his photos will probably end up in blog Armageddon.

All I can is say is its one hell of a way to go …

Bush Bust-¬† from President’s Park in South Dakota, a stone’s throw from Mt. Rushmore. The privately owned “park” has approx 20ft. busts of all the presidents.

Meth-  somewhere in southern Montana.

Tomb of the Unknown Soldier-  Washington, DC.

United We Stand…¬† sticker on light pole in front of house in San Francisco.

Better To Die…¬† hand drawn sign on light pole in San Francisco.

Money-¬† headstone at Pet’s Rest Cemetery in Colma, CA.
