Description

This is a Master Class Workshop, meaning there is a limited number of participants and that learning takes place through generative dialogue and real life practice. It is targeted to the next generation of journalists and storytellers.  The goal is to teach them to harness the power of still images and sound to provoke inspiration and engagement of its audience.

The course will focus on the complete chain of production, from identifying a suitable story to planning the steps needed to gather the audio and pictures, as well as the final completion of the project. The course will cover practical and technical aspects of recording and editing in the context of telling powerful stories.

Through a considerable amount of discussion, participants will learn:

  • How to hook an audience with a story

  • Thank you. It was brilliant! I’m back to the long commute – but inspired and full of good intentions that I need to hold myself to. I loved the everyday alchemy aspect of photo films & spent the weekend spotting/thinking about characters! Becky Wynn, Press Officer

  • The guys at duckrabbit not only helped me gain skills in audio capture, interviewing and photo-film production, but also increased my confidence in getting closer to people, and hearing their stories. I recommend this training to anybody with an interest in people, their stories, and how they are represented Phil Lang
