A short photofilm about a shed and ‘the tug’ that draws people back time after time.
Beside the River Ness in Inverness, Scotland, sits a small green shed, near a fishing pool located only a short distance from the city centre. But the shed is a focal point for the anglers who gather daily during (and after) the fishing season, to swap tall tales, tease each other, and make long-lasting friendships. They welcome strangers, anglers and non-anglers alike, share stories, laughs, fun and the odd cup of tea.

Lovely John. Thanks for sharing. Reminds me of a radio doco I made on the salmon netsmen on the river Tweed.
Thanks Ben. Nice folks and a great wee location.
Nice work John, I’ll re-visit when I have more time to enjoy fully
Thank you Damian, appreciate that very much.
You’ve made their enthusiasm shine through
Thanks Catherine. They were hard at it trying to get as much time in before the salmon season finishes in a week or so!
Lovely work, John. These are the stories that put a smile on the old fizzog.
Thanks Tony. They’re a great bunch of lads, and well deserve preserving for posterity!
Damn you, now I’ve got the Scotland bug again and I’ve only been there last year. Do you do tours?
Sorry Thomas. So sorry. The tug to Scotland is common amongst previous visitors……best feed the craving with a visit!
Great story, thanks for sharing. Would have liked to hear more some more sound effects from the fishing though, to give my brain a rest from time to time from the onslaught of thick Scottish
Thanks Seth. I think I agree with you! ‘Sandy’ has a pretty good Glasgow accent and a speech rate thats fairly typical, and unless ‘tuned in’ to that it can be a pretty testing listen. Glad you enjoyed it all the same!
