Photofilm: The Tar Sands

Photographer Alan Ginoux came on a duckrabbit photofilm workshopa year ago and since then he’s excelled.  His work on the environmental devastation that is taking place in the tar sands of Norther Alberta is really, really important stuff. This photofilm shows Alan is that rare thing, a decent photographer and a decent journalist.

The tar sands of Northern Alberta, Canada – also called oil sands – are one of the largest remaining deposits of oil in the world. Developing the tar sands has created the biggest industrial development project, the biggest capital investment project, and the biggest energy project in the world.

Alan is now seeking more funds to complete his project.
