What they say about duckrabbit:

'One of the hazards of publishing a well-known photojournalism blog - getting multimedia like yours, where the photos are both powerful and moving, and I end up in tears at my desk.'

Alan Taylor, Boston Big Picture)

'David White's multimedia work with duckrabbit is very exciting.'

Kate Edwards (Guardian Magazine Picture Editor)

'I am a fan of duckrabbit. I am not a fan because I agree with everything Ben has to say, but because he says it without frills and then will spend the time necessary to engage the consequent discussions. Such commitment is a priceless commodity.'

Prison Photography

'I met one of them at an academic conference in the summer. He was the sanest person there, but sure enough by damn gadnabbit ruffled more than a few fluffed up peacock feathers.'

The Photography Pages

'If you haven't seen the duckrabbit blog on multimedia you should.'

Stephen Alvarez

'duckrabbit has done another jaw-dropping job with Condition Critical, a highly commendable and important project for Medecins Sans Frontiers.'

Super hot Nikon lens cap trick..

Ooooh…how exciting. Hold on to your pants.
I just remembered something I’d forgotten, and thought it would be useful to a fair few of you…

I was just trying to put back on an old rear lens cap on one of my nikkors. The poor little cap is knackered, and won’t stay on.
Then I remembered…..I went and got a lighter, and CAREFULLY used it at it’s lowest setting to heat up and expand the male lugs inside
the rear cap. Ten seconds cooling, and the cap is as tight as new. This trick lasts for a few years per cap.

That was your duckrabbit freebie for the month of March. And don’t ask me if it will work with sony/canon/pentax/moulinex caps, cos I don’t blinkin’ know.

And don’t hold me responsible when you cock it up and burn yourself, get melted plastic on your 14-24 or set your dog on fire. Or all three.

Next month…how to rebuild your shutter with some knicker elastic and a small spoon.
