What they say about duckrabbit:

'One of the hazards of publishing a well-known photojournalism blog - getting multimedia like yours, where the photos are both powerful and moving, and I end up in tears at my desk.'

Alan Taylor, Boston Big Picture)

'David White's multimedia work with duckrabbit is very exciting.'

Kate Edwards (Guardian Magazine Picture Editor)

'I am a fan of duckrabbit. I am not a fan because I agree with everything Ben has to say, but because he says it without frills and then will spend the time necessary to engage the consequent discussions. Such commitment is a priceless commodity.'

Prison Photography

'I met one of them at an academic conference in the summer. He was the sanest person there, but sure enough by damn gadnabbit ruffled more than a few fluffed up peacock feathers.'

The Photography Pages

'If you haven't seen the duckrabbit blog on multimedia you should.'

Stephen Alvarez

'duckrabbit has done another jaw-dropping job with Condition Critical, a highly commendable and important project for Medecins Sans Frontiers.'

Two men preparing shuttering/formwork for concrete, not sure what they are building, not sure which country.
(though I did find out where after a little research)

    • Hi Tim,

thanks for that. When you discovered where the photo was taken, were you surprised?

      • timd

not surprised – I really didn’t have any expectations as to where is was
I do like structures like this, building projects half completed
I wonder how many tanks they’ve used those props to make?
        Regards, Tim

  • I’m going to say Chile or Madeira rebuilding homes? I like this idea btw.

  • I’m betting South America too… but honestly, the first thing that came to mind was that infamous NY Times photo essay where the house interior under construction had it wooden beams all “parallelized” in Photoshop for symmetry.

  • Hmmm…I see construction, but naming the area would be pure guesswork. So I’ll go for Argentina. Cos of the hats.
Caption? God knows….”Argentinian breakdancers practising in preparation for the world construction and break dancing championships, Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2.4.2010″
