What they say about duckrabbit:

'One of the hazards of publishing a well-known photojournalism blog - getting multimedia like yours, where the photos are both powerful and moving, and I end up in tears at my desk.'

Alan Taylor, Boston Big Picture)

'David White's multimedia work with duckrabbit is very exciting.'

Kate Edwards (Guardian Magazine Picture Editor)

'I am a fan of duckrabbit. I am not a fan because I agree with everything Ben has to say, but because he says it without frills and then will spend the time necessary to engage the consequent discussions. Such commitment is a priceless commodity.'

Prison Photography

'I met one of them at an academic conference in the summer. He was the sanest person there, but sure enough by damn gadnabbit ruffled more than a few fluffed up peacock feathers.'

The Photography Pages

'If you haven't seen the duckrabbit blog on multimedia you should.'

Stephen Alvarez

'duckrabbit has done another jaw-dropping job with Condition Critical, a highly commendable and important project for Medecins Sans Frontiers.'

The Travel Photographer

Ah sweet … somebody loves us

even if they just outed duckrabbit as a ‘white man’. He’s not, he’s a genetic experiment between two animals that went very, very wrong.

The only credit that duckrabbit will take is that he gets desperately down about a world where its OK for people to cross over the road when someone is bleeding to death on the other side. Sometimes he just can’t help himself from saying something, but only sometimes.  duckrabbit is as guilty as anyone else of ignoring stuff.

That said we take Stan Banos’ kind words with honor, it means a lot.

The comp will now end on Friday. You have till then to change Banos’ thinking.

Some people have asked what we’ll do with the money if no-one wins. We’ll buy back our kids. After that we’ll try for as long as we can to keep doing work like this, which we produced without payment and shared with love.  Duckrabbit doesn’t believe in throwing money at problems, but sometimes it can be usful to start a conversation that nobody wants to have.
