As a kid there was nothing more exciting than a rare trip to the wet, windy and cold seaside.
We grew up in the middle of Britain, a long way from the waves.
For most of the urban population of Britain seasides are places of faded glamour where as Morrisey so famously put it ‘everyday is like Sunday, everyday is silent and grey’.
Matt Kirwan has captured Spring Tide at Saltburn perfectly. Its a real poem. Don’t go expecting anything else.
