Condition Critical: Drawing the war

The voice of a young boy reveals the horrifying impact of Congo’s war on children. Kidnapped by armed men, children are forced to witness and take part in inconceivable atrocities. This is the story of one child, however, it is the terrifying reality for countless other children, as the war continues in the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

This photofilm was one of four created by Duckrabbit in their award winning collaboration with Medecins Sans Frontieres on their Condition Critical digital campaign to raise awareness about the conflict in Eastern Congo. Both the photos and the audio were recorded by Julie Remy.
